It seems that once again file-sharers will face the attack dog lawyers of the entertainment industry. As reported by guardian.co.uk, an aggressive move made by the Ministry of Sound UK has put 2,000 letters into the hands of listeners, demanding they pay a compensatory fee of about $600.
Critics of the move, which include the British recording industry representative *BP*I, say that this tactic of “speculative invoicing” is wasting the time of everyone. The tactic, which is intended as a sort of catch all-first line of defense against file sharers, has left some quite miffed by it all.
